Prayer MinistryPrayer is Leaven in 2011Let’s Look Up and Praise!
Praise the LORD.
Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good;
His love endures forever.
Psalm 106:1
Praise is a choice.
It’s a choice to look up and focus our eyes and heart on God as we go through life’s ups and downs. Praise is not pretending to be happy when our situation is difficult. Instead, praise transfers problems we hold in our hands to God’s Mighty Hands. God is still in control during hard times. He’s been Faithful to us in the past and He will be Faithful to us in the future. He is our Comforter in times of sadness. He is Our Guide when we don’t know our next step. We can run to Him and be safe because He’s Strong. He is with us. He inhabits the praises of His people.
In 2011 let us focus on praising God and living each day overflowing with thankfulness. Psalm 63:3-4 and Col. 2:6-7 Let us be encouraged and assured that God hears our prayers, and God answers. Therefore, in 2011 let us boldly and persistently pray. (Luke 11:9-13)The Prayer Ministry at Covenant has many opportunities for God’s children to come together with “new songs” of praise and thanksgiving. Will you be a part of the prayer ministry at Covenant?Here are Covenant’s 2011 prayer opportunities:Prayer Partners:
This is a quiet time of praise and thanksgiving and asking God to bless all those participating in the Sunday worship service. You would pray in the upstairs Prayer Room during one of the Sunday worship services.
Prayer Groups:
Men's Prayer Breakfast Every Saturday morning (7:00am)
Tuesday Prayer Group (6:30pm)
Upper Room Living Prayer Ministry:
On the second Sunday of every month we meet in the Prayer Room from 6:00-8:00pm to pray with people over the telephone. People call in from all over the U.S. You may silently pray, or you may pray with those who call in for prayer.
Prayer Circles:
Requests for immediate prayer will come to you by telephone at your home. You pray, and then call the next number on the circle and share the prayer request.
E-mail Prayer Ministry:
You receive prayer requests by way of your email at least once a week. You would then pray for these requests. Your "YES" to this prayer opportunity is a commitment to pray.
