Praise is a choice.

It’s a choice to look up and focus our eyes and heart on God as we go through life’s ups and downs. Praise is not pretending to be happy when our situation is difficult. Instead, praise transfers problems we hold in our hands to God’s Mighty Hands.

God is still in control during hard times. He’s been Faithful to us in the past and He will be Faithful to us in the future. He is our Comforter in times of sadness. 

He is Our Guide when we don’t know our next step. We can run to Him and be safe because He’s Strong. He is with us. He inhabits the praises of His people.

 

In 2009 will you make a deliberate choice to praise Him more?

The prayer ministry at Covenant has many opportunities for God’s children to come together with “new songs” of praise and thanksgiving. Will you be a part of the prayer ministry at Covenant?

 

Here are some of Covenant’s 2009 prayer opportunities:

 

Prayer Partners: This is a quiet time of praise and thanksgiving and asking God to bless all those participating in the Sunday worship service. You would pray in the upstairs Prayer Room during one of the Sunday worship services.

 

Prayer Groups: Saturday morning (7:00am)

 

Upper Room Living Prayer Ministry: On the second Sunday of every month we meet in the Prayer Room from 6:00-8:00pm to pray with people over the telephone. People call in from all over the U.S. You may silently pray, or you may pray with those who call in for prayer.

 

Prayer Circles: Requests for immediate prayer will come to you by telephone at your home. You pray, and then call the next number on the circle and share the prayer request.

 

Puppet Ministry Prayer Time: The Puppet Ministry performs one Sunday a month.

After the performance prayer requests are taken, and the children have a time of prayer.

You are invited to come and be a part of that time.
